Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and Office Experience
Reports to: Principal and/ or Assistant Principal
Performance Responsibilities:
Creates a calm and inviting atmosphere in the office.
Creates and maintains a positive climate for students, staff, and patrons.
Creates and maintains cooperative relations with students, staff, patrons, and visitors.
Makes arrangements for conferences/meetings and arranges for visitor comfort.
Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office.
Places and receives telephone calls, records messages and delivers message to appropriate personnel.
Assists new students with lockers, busses, finding classes and general orientation.
Receipts and deposits all incoming monies and handles financial transactions—such as requisitions, fundraiser requests, etc.
Processes invoices and receipts for purchases.
Communicates with vendors, club sponsors, district administration to effectively process requisitions, orders, and invoices.
Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the position.
Reconciles Detail of Accounts statement each month.
Orders and maintains supplies, as needed.
Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and put it into a usable form.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot printers and copy equipment
Effectively uses computer systems and applications.
Administers prescribed medication when authorized by parent/guardian.
Assists in assuring substitutes are in place in all classes and classes are supervised.
Provides first-aid care for students (i.e. bloody nose, bandage cuts, scrapes, check temperatures, handle vomiting children, administer ice packs and band-aids)
Maintains confidentiality.
Performs other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Terms of Employment: Number of calendar days and compensation based on approved compensation schedule and employee work calendars
Evaluation: Evaluation by Principal or Assistant Principal in accordance with BOE policy
Physical Demands:
Normal demands as required by performance responsibilities.
